On to "Finding Nemo", since the movie hit the screens, I have read a lot of good stuff about it, but did not have the penchant to watch. Thanks to my son for persuading me to buy the DVD version for him. At some point, I wanted to get this for all its good review, but did not foresee the impact that it will have on me :) It's a fun to watch and am sure my son will watch it zillion more times, alas he may join his dad to watch those many times.
I am always amazed by the way few strange, sleek ideas are mapped and presented. This requires special technology and are possible only through animation or the so called CGI, right from the ever popular Tom&Jerry, Mononokenohime to the latest Avatar. Nevertheless, somewhere in the subconscious mind, this genre always takes a back seat for unknown reasons. May be due to the explicit usage of technology, had the feeling that it was too surreal. Having said that, in due course of time, I realised that it is more because of the minimal watching of good quality animated movies. From that perspective, "Finding Nemo", is an eye opener. A treat to watch and as an outcome, had been to IMAX 3D to watch "Avatar", which is an ultimate experience.
Thanks to Disney, Pixar and all great creators behind these wonderful entertainment.
